24 hour emergency electrician in Los Angeles

Electrical problems don't keep business hours. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in English or Spanish. Tell us what's happening and we'll tell you what to do right now and how soon we can be there.

We answer24 hours a day, 7 days a week. English or Spanish.

Call right now if

  • You smell burning plastic, or see scorch marks at an outlet, switch or panel
  • You see sparks, or hear buzzing or crackling from the panel
  • A breaker trips and won't reset, or the panel is hot to the touch
  • Half the house is dead, or lights flicker and dim across rooms
  • Water got into an outlet, the panel or a junction box
  • Power is out but the neighbors have it
  • A storm, a car or a tree took down the service drop. Stay away from it and call the utility and 911 first.

What we handle around the clock

  • Tripped mains and breakers that won't reset
  • Burning smells, hot outlets, scorched switches
  • Partial or total power loss inside the home
  • Storm damage to the panel, meter or service drop, after the utility makes it safe
  • Flooded outlets and circuits
  • Commercial outages: restaurants, shops, offices, property managers
Call about this job

What happens when you call

  1. 1

You talk to us, not a call center

Describe what you see, hear and smell. We'll tell you whether to shut off the main.

  2. 2

We tell you how soon we can be there

Honestly. We're based in Mid-City LA and we drive across the county. We'd rather give you a real time than a fake one.

  3. 3

    We make it safe first

Isolate the fault, stop the hazard, get what can run running.

  4. 4

Then we fix it or plan it

If the full fix needs parts, a permit or daylight, we leave you safe and come back with a written quote.

What to do before we arrive

If there's fire, smoke you can't stop, or someone is hurt, call 911 first.

If you can reach the panel safely, turn off the breaker for the affected area, or the main. Don't open the panel cover.

Don't touch outlets, cords or appliances that are wet, hot or sparking. Never put water on an electrical fire.

If a power line is down outside, stay far away and call the utility: LADWP 1-800-342-5397, SCE 1-800-611-1911.

Nights, weekends and holidays

We answer at 2 a.m. the same as at 2 p.m. We don't print a response time on this page because LA traffic doesn't let anyone promise one honestly. When you call, we'll tell you where we are and how long it will take.

Emergency visits are quoted before we start, like every job. If something can safely wait until morning and save you money, we'll say so.

How emergency pricing works

You get the price before we start work, even at night. What affects it:

  • Time of day and day of the week
  • Distance from Mid-City
  • What has actually failed: a breaker, a wire, a device or the panel
  • Whether the parts are on the truck or need a supply house
  • Whether the fix needs a permit (panel and service work does)

Ask what the visit costs when you call. You'll get a straight answer.

Permitted work

Who shows up

The licensed contractor on our CSLB record, Alejandro Hernandez Morales, runs the jobs himself with a small crew. The person you talk to on the phone knows what's going on at your house.

Questions people ask us

Is a tripping breaker an emergency?

If it resets and holds, no. If it won't reset, trips immediately, feels hot, or you smell anything, yes. Leave it off and call.

My power is out. Is it me or the utility?

Check the neighbors. If they're dark too, it's the utility: LADWP or SCE. If it's just you, check the main breaker. If the main is on and you're still dark, call us.

Do you charge more at night?

Ask when you call. You'll have the price before we leave the shop.

Can you come to Orange County or the Valley at night?

Yes. We're based in Mid-City Los Angeles and we drive. We'll give you an honest time.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Call and ask for Spanish. ASL by arrangement.

What if the fix needs a permit?

We make it safe tonight. Panel and service work gets permitted and inspected; we write up the quote and pull the permit the next business day.
