Nights and weekends when the business can't close.
- 5
Close-out
As-builts, labeled panels, inspection cards.
Permits, plan check and the utility
Commercial electrical work is permitted. Larger jobs go through plan check before the permit is issued. Service upgrades, meter banks and switchgear bring in LADWP, SCE or the city utility for design approval and a release. We've done this on the buildings in our photos, and we build the utility's timeline into the schedule.
Scheduling
Small service calls work like residential: we tell you when we can be there. Tenant improvements and service work are scheduled around plan check, utility lead times and your opening date. We'll be straight about what the utility controls.
How we quote commercial work
Line-item written quotes. What drives them:
- Scope from the drawings or the walk-through
- Service size, and whether utility equipment changes
- Working hours (nights and weekends)
- Plan check and engineering if required
- Access, ceiling heights, occupied versus vacant
- Equipment lead times
Property managers: ask about an on-call arrangement for the buildings you run.
